Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren’s relationship was troubled from the start, new book details his comeback from car accident

It details every major moment in one of the most storied of sporting careers, from the sensational highs of 15 major wins to the crushing lows of divorce, death-defying crashes and serial infidelity which left his reputation in tatters.
Woods may have stunned the sporting world with his amazing rise to the top of golf following his breakthrough Masters triumph in 1997. However, it was an event on December 1, 2009, indicating the beginning of a shocking decline.
Patison details the dialogue between Florida’s police chief Daniel Saylor and ESPN reporters after the Sports Superstar was injured in a car accident outside Windamia’s home. “Two officers arrived on scene and found Tiger Woods lying in front of his car with his wife on top of him, administering first aid,” Saylor said.

Sweden’s model, Erin, met through a golfer, a friend of Swedish player, Jesper Parnevik, and got married in Barbados in 2004, but was set to reveal that Woods was cheating. I noticed a tabloid report.

“Tiger downplayed and denied the allegations,” Pattison continued. “Elline wanted to believe him. It was meaningless at all.
However, I am convinced that the more history, the more it has become a forest affair.
Patison says that Woods has gained an early national history of how other women rushed in exchange for men’s fitness reports -publications belonged to the same company. But this time, she couldn’t get out.
Erin waited until she fell asleep, then checked her phone and found “romantic and sexual messages” to “multiple women,” including messages from earlier that day to nightclub host Rachel Uchitel. Advertisement

Then, according to Pattison, Elin pretended to be a forest, sending many messages to the teacher before revealing himself. “I knew it was you, I knew it all,” Erin wrote.
Everything started to fall apart. Pattison described how Woods became so desperate that he locked himself in his bathroom and began obsessively contacting other women he was dating.
But Erin had previously left a voicemail for a woman named Jamie Grubbs. “You know who it is, because you’re having sex with my husband,” she reportedly said.
Their marriage was in ruins, and Parnevik said he’d “lost all respect” for an American woman who’d had an affair with someone he considered his sister.
It was a nightmare scenario that embarrassed Woods and destroyed his good-guy image. But Pattison says their relationship was destined from the start.
For Woods, it was love at first sight. Elin, however, wasn’t so sure.
Pattison says she was “unimpressed” when she was asked out by a third party, claiming it was “weird and pathetic.”
Elin, just 22 at the time, had a boyfriend back home in Sweden and despite his prominence on the golf course, Woods “wasn’t her type.”

2009: Cops are called after Woods’ then wife is forced to smash her way into her husbands car which had crashed into a fire hydrant, a tree and some hedges near his Florida home. The golf star was treated for minor injuries, but his marriage was in crisis after tabloid reports began revealing his string of extramarital affairs.
2021: On February 23, Woods was involved in a single-vehicle accident in Los Angeles, causing his car to overturn. The Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department said the vehicle “sustained significant damage” and that Woods was traveling at speeds in excess of 80 mph. He was lucky to survive but suffered multiple leg injuries. After “months of trying his luck,” Tiger finally got her and the two began spending time together.
Two years later, the couple married, and by 2009 they had two children, daughter Sam and son Charlie. But in August 2010, Elin’s divorce was settled for $100 million.
That spring, the custody issue was resolved, and Woods moved into the Jupiter Island mansion he’d purchased in 2006, Pattison writes. Meanwhile, his ex-wife has moved 30 miles away to North Palm Beach.
Woods reportedly told his children, “We no longer live under the same roof because Dad made a mistake.” Perhaps what stung the disgraced sports icon even more was his son Charlie’s response to a question about who his idol was.
“Who would you rather be, Lionel Messi on the field or Tiger Woods on the golf course?” he was asked at an event hosted by his father. The answer was the Argentine soccer maestro.
“Yes,” said an injured Woods, “he’s right.”
The book also details his 2017 DUI arrest and a horrific car crash in Los Angeles in early 2021 that Woods was lucky to survive. The month before, he underwent a fifth back surgery in another desperate attempt to save his career.
The Feb. 21 crash left him with screws, pins and stabilizing rods in his leg and damaged his foot. It was just the third time in the last 12 years that police have been called to an accident involving arguably the greatest golfer in history. Although his rise to the top was unforgettable, the 48-year-old’s death was a chilling warning to everyone about how quickly life can change.
