About the Federal Fire Service (FFS)
The Federal Fire Service is the principal agency of the Federal Government of Nigeria, established by an Act of Parliament mandated with the sole responsibility of mitigation, paramedical, extinction and prevention of fire and other emergencies as well as perform other sundry duties as delegated by the Honorable Minister of Interior.
Federal Fire Service (FFS) is supervised by the Ministry of Interior through the Civil Defence, Fire, Immigration and Prisons Services Board (CDFIPB), which was established by Decree No.
14 of July 1986 as the “Customs, Immigration and Prisons Services Board,” with the Minister of Interior serving as its chairman.
General Requirements for the Federal Fire Service 2024/2025 Recruitment

Applicants should be in good physical, mental, and emotional health.
Those interested in applying for FFS recruitment should be between the ages of 18 and 30.
The candidate must have completed the West African Senior School Certificate (WASSCE), National Examination Council (NECO), and General Certificate of Education (GCE) in no more than two sittings with a minimum of five credits.
Fluency in English is necessary. All interested parties need to act with grace and good manners.
A minimum height requirement of 1.65 meters for men and 1.60 meters for women applies to candidates.
The chest circumference of men should not be less than 0.87 meters.
Must be flexible enough to work in a new environment and capable of meeting deadlines when handling multiple jobs at once.
All candidates must present a legitimate form of identification, such as a voter card, international passport, driver’s license, or National Identity Card.
An accredited school’s B.Sc., HND, NCE, or OND certificate in any topic A criminal record will exclude a candidate from consideration.
